Pumpkin - Dills Atlantic Giant
Dill's Atlantic Giant is an impressive variety, known for producing pumpkins that can exceed 400kg in weight! With its trailing habit, this pumpkin variety is perfect for those who have ample space to accommodate its massive growth. The fruits store well for a long time, making them ideal for exhibitions due to their enormous size. Dill's Atlantic Giant is undoubtedly a showstopper in any garden, promising an incredible display of gardening prowess.
Handy Tip: To get very large fruits, reduce down so only 1 fruit develops per plant. Feed and water regularly. Long, warm summers are needed to produce very large fruits over 135kg.
Pumpkin - Jack O'Lantern
Jack O'Lantern Pumpkin is the ideal size for Halloween lights and traditional carving. With its golden orange skin and fine-flavoured, deep orange flesh, this versatile pumpkin can be roasted, baked, or used in a variety of dishes such as soups, curries, and pies. It stores well through the winter and is ready to harvest in about four months from sowing. The plant can grow up to heights of 45cm, making it a festive addition to any garden.
Handy Tip: Always grow pumpkins in a sunny spot in rich fertile soil. Water regularly once fruits start to swell. These can grow a number of fruits, however, to get larger fruits, simply stop the stems after 2 pumpkin's have started to develop.
