Climbing French Bean Blue Lake

Discover the classic appeal of Climbing French Bean Seeds "Blue Lake," an old favourite that can reach up to 1.5m in height. These seeds produce pencil-podded, stringless pods of medium green, containing pure white beans that can be used as haricot beans at the end of the season. A climbing variety, "Blue Lake" requires support similar to runner beans. With its exceptional yield and versatility, "Blue Lake" promises a bountiful and delicious harvest.
Handy Tip: Pick regularly to encourage extended cropping. Not a good variety for indoor production.

Climbing French Bean Cobra

Introducing Climbing French Bean Seeds "Cobra," an RHS Award-winning variety and the gardener's choice for early production. These black-seeded beans produce long, straight pods about 7mm in diameter, which can be harvested over a prolonged period. The stringless, smooth pods are complemented by beautiful mauve flowers, making them perfect for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Known for their exceptional flavour, "Cobra" beans should be supported similarly to runner beans. Note that this family of beans is frost tender and should only be sown once the weather has warmed.
Handy Tip: Sow a few seeds early in large containers under glass for an early crop or sow late summer under glass to extend the cropping season into the autumn.

***Please refer to the individual packets for specific sowing and harvesting instructions, as they may differ from the chart below.***
