Introducing Shallot Zebrune seeds! These seeds produce long shallots, also known as banana shallots, known for their good resistance to bolting. They form long brown bulbs tinged with pink, adding a unique touch to your garden. For the best results, grow them in well-drained soil in a sunny location.

Approx. Seed count | 150 seeds |
When to Sow | February to April |
Where to Sow | For early sowing, sow 1-2 seeds per module on the surface of seed compost, lightly covering them with vermiculite or compost. Place the modules in a location at 14°C. For outdoor sowing in April, sow seeds thinly in shallow drills, spaced 30cm apart. |
What to do Next | In April, move greenhouse-sown modules to a cold frame to harden off before planting them outside, spaced 5cm apart. Thin outdoor sowings to the same distance, and enjoy the thinnings as spring onions. |
Harvest | September to October |
