Unleash the fiery power of the Chilli Pepper Trinidad Scorpion, one of the world’s most pungent chillies. Renowned for its strong aroma and intense heat levels ranging from 750,000 to an eye-watering 1.4 million Scoville heat units, this chilli is not for the faint-hearted! Handle with care as this red-hot variety adds bold heat and flavour to sauces, marinades, and dishes for spice enthusiasts.
These plants thrive under glass in UK conditions, growing impressively tall with proper care. They require consistently warm conditions both day and night to maximise yield potential. Perfect for dedicated gardeners looking to cultivate one of the spiciest chillies available, the Trinidad Scorpion is a must-have for your collection.
Handy Tip: In UK growing conditions, plants cultivated under glass can reach impressive heights and may need additional support to stay upright. Ensure they’re well-supported for optimal growth and yield.

Technical specifications
Approx. Seed count | 10 seeds |
When to Sow | February to April |
Where to Sow | Scatter seeds on the surface of free-draining compost in pots or trays. Cover them lightly with compost or vermiculite and keep them in a warm environment, ideally between 21–25°C, to encourage successful germination. |
What to Do Next | When the seedlings are sturdy enough to handle, carefully transfer them into individual pots and continue to grow them under glass. As the plants grow taller and stronger, transplant them into growbags or larger pots, keeping them under glass for optimal conditions. Once the first fruits appear, start feeding the plants weekly with tomato fertiliser to support healthy growth and fruit production. |
