Where to Sow | Sow seeds thinly in a well-prepared seed bed in shallow drills, in short rows. Alternatively, sow seeds thinly in seed trays or two seeds per cell in modules under glass. |
What to do Next | For outdoor sowings, thin seedlings to provide ample spacing. Once plants are large enough, lift and transplant them to their final positions, ensuring adequate spacing between rows. For glasshouse seedlings, prick off into trays or thin modules to one seedling per cell when they show their first pair of leaves. Gradually harden off before planting out when they are about 15cm tall, following the same spacing guidelines. |
