Where to SowEarly Sowings: Use trays/modules under glass at 16-18°C. Later Sowings. Use pots/trays in a cold frame or unheated glasshouse. Sowing Technique. Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and lightly cover.
What to do NextPricking Off - As soon as large enough to handle, transfer early sowings into trays 5cm apart or thin modules to one seedling. Hardening Off - Gradually acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions. Planting - Ensure all danger of frost has passed. Plant seedlings 30cm apart, with 30-35cm between rows. Maintenance - Cut off any side shoots, leaving one central stem.
