Approx. Seed count | 450 seeds |
When to Sow | February to May |
Where to Sow | Sow seeds under glass in small trays of compost, lightly covering them with compost. Keep at a temperature of 15-20°C. Alternatively, sow directly outside in April and May into shallow seed drills. |
What to do Next | Once seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into individual pots. Grow them on in cooler conditions, then gradually harden off in a cold frame before planting out after the risk of frost has passed. Transplant to final positions or larger containers, or grow a few in pots on a light windowsill year-round. Direct sown seedlings can be thinned and then lifted and transplanted to final positions once they are large enough to handle. |
Harvest | All year round |
