When to Sow | All year round |
Where to Sow | Sow seeds in small trays of compost, lightly covering them with a sprinkling of compost, and keep at 15-20°C. Alternatively, sow directly outside in April and May into shallow seed drills. |
What to Do Next | Once seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into pots. Grow them in cooler conditions and gradually harden them off in a cold frame before planting out after the risk of frost has passed. Transplant to final positions or larger containers. Alternatively, grow a few in pots on a windowsill year-round. Direct sown seedlings can be thinned and harvested as needed. |
Harvest | Harvest all year round when the weather is dry and the sun is not too strong. |
