When to SowAll year round
Where to SowSow seeds in small trays of compost, lightly covering them with a sprinkling of compost, and keep at 15-20°C. Alternatively, sow directly outside in April and May into shallow seed drills.
What to Do NextOnce seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into pots. Grow them in cooler conditions and gradually harden them off in a cold frame before planting out after the risk of frost has passed. Transplant to final positions or larger containers. Alternatively, grow a few in pots on a windowsill year-round. Direct sown seedlings can be thinned and harvested as needed.
HarvestHarvest all year round when the weather is dry and the sun is not too strong.
