When to SowCan be grown year-round. Suitable for outdoor plots or windowsills. Annual herb.
Where to SowSow seeds in small trays of compost. Lightly cover them with a sprinkling of compost, and keep at a temperature of 15-20°C. Alternatively, sow directly outside in April and May into shallow seed drills.
What to do NextOnce seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into 7cm pots. Grow in cooler conditions and harden off in a cold frame before planting out after frost risk has passed. Transplant to final positions, or larger containers, 30cm apart. Alternatively, grow a few in pots on a windowsill year-round. Direct sown seedlings can be thinned to 15-30cm apart and harvested as needed.
