When to SowFebruary to April
Where to SowSow seeds on the surface of free-draining, damp compost and cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Keep in a propagator or warm place (24-27°C) for 14-21 days until germination. Ensure the seeds receive light. Maintain the compost on the dry side, watering lightly as seedlings emerge.
What to do NextWhen seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots or trays. Gradually acclimate the plants to outdoor conditions over a few weeks. Once acclimatized and the risk of frost has passed, plant them out, ensuring adequate spacing.
